2. E-Bike Conversion Kits & Technical Installation
By purchasing an electric conversion kit, motor, or controller from Alpine Rides, you acknowledge and agree to the following technical conditions:
- Self-Assembly & Skill Required: Installation of conversion kits requires basic mechanical and electrical skills. Improper installation can lead to component failure, voided warranties, or personal injury.
- Compatibility: It is your responsibility to verify frame clearances, bottom bracket dimensions, axle dropouts, and wheel sizes before ordering.
- Installation Support: While we offer general guidance, Alpine Rides is not liable for damage caused to your bicycle, frame, or personal property during self-installation. We strongly recommend professional installation by a certified bicycle technician if you are unsure.
3. Battery Safety & Proper Usage
Lithium-ion batteries power many Alpine Rides products. By purchasing a battery or kit containing a battery, you agree to follow proper care and safety protocols:
- Charging & Storage: You agree to use only the charger provided or explicitly approved by Alpine Rides. Batteries must never be left charging unattended, near flammable materials, or exposed to extreme temperatures.
- Modifications: Altering battery wiring, bypassing the BMS (Battery Management System), or opening the battery case is strictly prohibited and immediately voids all warranties.
- Liability Exemption: Alpine Rides is not liable for fires, thermal runaway, or property damage resulting from misuse, unauthorised modifications, water damage, or failure to follow safe charging practices.
4. Street Legality & Compliance with Local Laws
E-bike speed limits, motor wattage caps (e.g., 250W vs. 750W), and throttle rules vary widely across states, provinces, and countries:
- Customer Responsibility: You are solely responsible for understanding and adhering to local laws, road traffic acts, and helmet regulations in your jurisdiction regarding electric bicycles and high-power motorised kits.
- Off-Road / Private Property Use: Certain high-power motors or unlocked speed settings offered by Alpine Rides are designed exclusively for off-road use or private property. Utilising non-compliant motors or modified speed limits on public roadways is done entirely at your own risk.
5. Pricing and Payment
- Currency: All prices listed on our store are in GBP unless otherwise specified.
- Price Changes: Prices are subject to change at any time before order confirmation.
- Payment Gateways: Payments are processed securely via third-party providers (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, PayPal, Stripe). We do not store financial credentials on our servers.

7. Limitation of Liability & Assumption of Risk
Cycling, mountain riding, and operating motorised e-bikes carry inherent risks of physical injury or property damage.
- Assumption of Risk: By operating an e-bike equipped with Alpine Rides components, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with riding, including accidents, road hazards, equipment failure, or weather conditions.
- Maximum Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alpine Rides’ total liability to you for any damages, losses, or causes of action shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific product purchased.
8. Intellectual Property
All visual media, logos, trademarks, text, product photography, and website content on alpinerides.store are the exclusive property of Alpine Rides or its licensors. Unauthorised copying, scraping, or distribution of this content is prohibited.
9. Governing Law
